Subject-specific modules

Undergraduate Progression Project

The module brings together the skills and subject knowledge that students have developed during the programme and provides the experience of applying this to a project which the students will select and manage.

Students will learn about the process of developing a small-scale research project and will get the opportunity to think about the advantages and disadvantages of some of the most commonly used research tools by experimenting with them and looking at how others have used them. The project that is produced will demonstrate the application of both subject knowledge and the skills that have gained across the programme and provides students with the experience and confidence to know that they will be able to carry out this type of work later on in their undergraduate studies.

Introduction to Business Functions

The overall aim of this module is to provide students with a basic introduction to the study of business and management by introducing them to the standard departments within a business, such as finance, marketing, and human resource management. The course covers the different types of businesses, business set-up, planning and financing of developments.
